COOLEST KID IN TOWN

One website to visit http://www.urbanbaby.com.au/

Take a look at the 'Ubabub Pod'.
Pod cot to junior bed in one. Very cool design, ultra-safe, durable and eco friendly. Very cool indeed! RRP $1800 (think long term, don't gasp)

And the ultimate in designer change tables, again thinking long term can be used as storage RRP $599

Now this is innovative, useful and well priced. Instead of lugging around those massive travel cots, the KinderKot Travel Bed is light, durable, fully screened sleep anywhere camping style RRP $159.
This is too cute, but I'm not sure about the products sales pitch "Dress your child like a little creature you love"?? If the Bee doesn't grab you, you have a choice of turning your loved one into a Kangaroo, Koala, Leopard or Giraffe :) RRP $49

And of course everyone needs a SOAR SWING - soar like a bird I say :P

STOP THE PRESS

MAMAK a very popular Malaysia restaurant on Goulburn Street in China Town is opening a new location. The rumour mill is spinning and looks like it might be Neutral Bay!!! Definately North Shore - stay tuned.

Visit http://www.mamak.com.au/ & thanks to http://littlemissmay.com/index.php/?m=200711 for images and love of all things Malay :)

A MORNING IN MONA VALE

The Northern Beaches of Sydney has some amazing spots, often missed unless you're a local.
Mona Vale Beach has always been a favourite, watching the Pelican's in the Basin or going for a surf on the best left hand point break this side of the bridge :)

Found some new spots to
day. Little Paper Lane http://www.littlepaperlane.com.au is new, only about 5 weeks old, it now provides the Northern Beaches a reason to entertain in style. Everything from post cards, to invite packs to unique items like the Mexican Fiesta banner - perfect for that party I'm about to throw :)

Then as you are feeling a bit peckish, head over to A Bientot, fine patisserie & cafe, 1/16 Bungan St, Mona Vale Shops. We had the Cherry Danish and Chocolate Eclair - YUM!!!! The cakes are absolutely divine!!!! You must try this place. :)

MORE SMALL BARS TO TRY

A couple more small bars for Sis and I to try that are getting some great reviews:

LL Wine & Dine, 42 Llankelly Pl, Potts Point. Formely an adult bookshop it's now a stylish small laneway bar, apparently great cocktails and great asian-style food - one to try.

Shady Pines Saloon, Shop 5: 256 Crown St, Darlinghurst is bringing back the Old West. Reasonable priced beers and intimate atmosphere, this is one to try on the next Darlinghurst adventure.

ONE FOR THE BLOKES

Ever had a problem finding a gift for that guy in your life? Brother, Father, Boyfriend, Husband, Boy-Friend? Look no further than BLOKES 411 Darling St, Balmain. Everything from tailored unique shirts to telescopes to golfing needs. Cuff links are super popular and there's a whole range of novelty items as well. About time there was a shop just for the men!

WALSH BAY

I love Walsh Bay, I know I rave on about it all the time, but it really is the place to be at the moment. It's how Sydney should look. Recommend on a sunny Saturday or Sunday...
Start with a coffee in the morning at Simmer on the Bay cafe, it's right on the water near Sydney Dance Company and they have their 'New England' style deck chairs all laid out ready for you to sit and enjoy the view!!http://www.simmeronthebay.com.au/

Then if you're feeling energetic, go for the Hip Hop class 1130am session at the Sydney Dance Company, $20 for almost 2hrs - it's better than going to the gym! http://www.sydneydancecompany.com/

After a massive dance session you'll definately need a big bowl of pasta and of course a Banoffie Pie :) only place - across the road visit Fratelli Fresh Sopra Cafe :)

A couple more places to try that we've found include Ventuno http://www.ventuno.com.au/ and a great Indonesian Restaurant called TerasBali http://www.terasbali.com.au/ :) Hope you have a great weekend...

She Always Makes Him Wait :)

Love this clock!!! $65 by One Zero Zero available at http://www.pigeonhole.com.au/ Great website recommend to check it out.

WANDERING AROUND SURRY HILLS...

Some wonderful unique finds this adventure...
First up is Bird Textiles 380 Cleveland St, Surry Hills http://www.birdtextile.com.au/ , a tiny store that's all about sustainable design. The fabrics are all designed and printed in their Byron Bay studio using water based dyes which are all hand-made using solar power. This is an eco-friendly, eco-conscious company who claims to have been Australia's first climate-neutral business back in 2004. Good on them I say, support them if you can, their products are beautiful and the company's objectives are one we should all try to live by.

Walk about 5m and you hit our second find David Met Nicole
http://www.davidmetnicole.com/ 382 Cleveland St, Surry Hills. Gee this is a quirky store and I love every inch of it. From vintage pendant lamps to old stamp letters, it's a real treasure trove and a store you have to see in person to understand. If you are looking for that hard piece for the home I guarantee this shop will have it.

Then across the road there is Garden Life, 357 Cleveland St, Surry Hills http://www.gardenlife.com.au/ a beautiful outdoor design store. They have completed some amazing garden designs and their shop stocks all the products they recommend to their customers. I think the pictures below do all the talking...

Then after all your hard work you must walk down the road to Cafe Zoe, 688 Bourke St, Surry Hills for a great brunch! Credit to SimonFoodFavourite blog for the images :)
